Hunger patterns changing
I've been following the GM for only about a week. I've read about half the book, bought the suggested supplements and have been listening to the radio show via podcast. I've just started listening to the visualisation CD (night one) last 2 days.
One thing I've already noticed is that I'm not hungry all the time! I had come to think that constant hunger was just something I had to put up with, and ignore. However, Jon's approach of adding in REAL and LIVE foods has meant that I'm basically having the same breakfast, but adding new things. Lunch has changed to a salad plus protein (which I've always enjoyed, but been a bit lazy about), dinner's the same.
The really big difference is that I'm not hungry! I don't think I'm really eating any more than before (or not much) but I'm obviously eating better and my body's stopped craving the starchy carbohydrates it was always looking for.
Today, for instance, I had to dash out (from home) at lunchtime and knew I'd get too hungry to cope without food until I came home. Usually, that would result in my "caving in" and grabbing McD on the run. Caught out today, I hadn't prepared my salad, so I just grabbed a chunk of cheese and an apple. That sustained me for an amazing 4 hours, then I ate a smaller version of my lunch salad for afternoon tea! Hardest to believe was the fact that I was looking forward to the salad, and calmly prepared it, even though there was a packet of English muffins sitting beside me on the benchtop!
Has anyone else noticed this kind of change? Is it because of the supplements already making a difference?
