Re: SOOO Easy (And Good for You, Too)!!
Hi August thanks for the bumpage i had missed replying to Muuske,
Yes I am looking forward to meeting all on the 17th and putting names to faces.
I have not done much more of the callanetics as I got myself confused with my fish oils caps and started taking a one a day formula instead of the 5 caps I was taking(turns out the one a day is 1000 per cap same as the others that I took).
I am aching like an old women and have not been up to callanetics. Have readjusted intake and am looking forward to some flexibility again.
I wonder as I write this about my mood over the last little while which has been quite blue ,if there is a connection between the fish oil and vit e intake and feeling happy

Re: SOOO Easy (And Good for You, Too)!!
Okay, everyone,
I just got a PM and I would like to state categorically and for the record that the video link I posted in #19 on this thread is NOT a video of me.
As embarrassing as it is to say, the little guy's way cuter than I am .
Now for an update. The rolling on my mattress every morning (minus the "fist-pounding") has become the topper. I've cut my direct "lying on the back" and "love handle alternatives" to fifty each. I'm now rolling 200 times (100 each way) before I hop out of bed (well, sometimes Nature can't be ignored).
The movement is SLOW and I keep my concentration on pressing DOWN whatever is in contact with the bed. And I keep my head rolling AND Down on the Pillow!) And, yes, I Laugh.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a first foray. Maybe after a month of getting comfortable and stronger with the others -- I'd hate to hear that someone had tweaked or pinched something.
As with everything, grow into this SLOOOWLY .
Thanks again Teash for the inspiration.
Count it All Joy!!
Marc

Re: SOOO Easy (And Good for You, Too)!!
hi Marc,
I am still around, and still adding everything - including exercise - very very slowly.
I have shrunk somewhat. I had to trade my favourite trousers with my youngest graddaughter. Mine were too loose and hers were too tight. Good for me and not so good for her - although she loves my once favourite jeans.
Now my oz sized 16 trousers are feeling a little too loose, but I am going to wait a while longer before attempting size 14.
I am hoping this is the year I can finally wear my black with red piping cheong sam dress which my step daughter - who claims to be a size 8 - expected my to give to her as I "would never fit into it".

Hey Marc,
I have printed your 'non exercise ' thread out and placed it on the fridge and encouraged all the family to do it.
I am loving the ab exercise at the moment and this fits in so beautifully with relax let go and let it happen. Please keep on posting I'm loving your ideas.

Re: SOOO Easy (And Good for You, Too)!!
Hi all!!
I've been away down a different rabbit-hole (nothing "DIET" related, I assure you).
Here's an update on the "push-away" exercise I've just run across.
No matter which level you find yourself comfortably engaging (Wall, Counter-top, Chair-seat, Floor [knees or toes] -- on up to knees or feet on the Couch, or higher -- or if you've gone "back to the wall" to try a stint of one-armed push-aways), here's an INTERMEDIATE WORK-AROUND for going to the next level, while letting Gravity do the Lion's-Share of the work.
Choosing the next level (or even Ultra-Beginning at the Wall), get in a position Already... Pushed... AWAY... and let gravity tug at you, pulling you in.
At this next level, Use your muscles only to SLOW the effects of gravity. Try to make it take 8 to 10 seconds for your chest to touch. DON'T Push-Away!
Once you're "down", take whatever means to get back into the "up" position that doesn't require you to push. [If at the wall, step back close to the wall, stand up straight, and step back into ready position. If on your knees or toes just use whatever crouching, shifting motion you used to get in the ready position] and then lower yourself SLOWLY again. Do this as many times as you're used to doing at the easier level, and work with this for a week or two.
These are called "Negative Push-Ups" and they work to easily get the muscles ready for the next level.
It's a kind of Fun and Guilty pleasure to know you're working, but Not Too Hard!!
Peace and Blessings,
Marc

Re: SOOO Easy (And Good for You, Too)!!
I have a quite different form of un-exercise and I can use it even though I have been told not to exercise. I have a swing and find 10 gentle swings is fine, 20 leaves me shaking, but even 10 several times a day works practically every muscle in my body a little bit - hands and arms for a safe grip; whole of torso for the amount of force; legs for the movement; even ankles to move feet. I think feet and neck are the only muscles not involved, also ears. If you are lucky enough to be able to have a good energetic play it is a very good workout and lots of fun, used as I need to it is a step in the right direction.
I tried the push-aways, but they were too tiring! I will try the 'slow down gravity'. I did like the flatten the back one, but things changed and I forgot it, so thanks for the reminder.

What a great idea for a thread. I printed out your exercises and posted them on my bulletin board. Thank you
