Re: I fall asleep during the CD, will I still be getting the benefits?
Hi
I am only in my second week of programme however I love falling asleep with Jon talking in my ear, I haven't had such a good nights sleep in many months. Next day I feel energised and ready to enjoy my new commitment to life. They say we can hear even when we are unconsious so I don't think it matters that we are asleep.

I had to call my brother-in-law on this one, he is a sound engineer at a recording studio. According to him, it wouldn't matter if Jon's track it is streamed through headphones or not as we have all downloaded the track in MP3 format, then burned that onto a CD. The MP3 process has collapsed all the layers of the original audio file and has reduced it 1/11th of it original size. A lot is lost during that process.
For example, subliminal, binaural, and entrainment tracks cannot be compressed into MP3s without losing their effectiveness. And those rely heavily on layering through headphones because it amplifies the effect.
With Jon's track, being originally an MP3 track, it shouldn't make much of a difference, headphones or not. However, I imagine headphones would isolate the outside world/sounds and make for a more concentrated and productive experience.

This was so great to read after all the posts where the ladies had to put up with the sound of the TV. This is such a wonderful compromise. Your husband is showing how much he cares about you and your peace at night just by doing a simple thing - wearing headphones himself while watching TV.

so, I am wondering, does it matter if your mind wanders while listening?
I have always found that as I fall asleep my mind wanders and eventually I fall asleep. I am doing this while listening to the MP3. Does it matter? I can still hear it on some level

Jon says at the beginning of the c.d that you are suppose to be listening to it just as you are falling asleep. So don't feel like you are missing out on anything by falling asleep. That's what the c.d is supposed to help you do.
have a great day!

Re: I fall asleep during the CD, will I still be getting the benefits?
I find that just before I fall asleep, always, not just when listening to Jon, my mind starts drifting to all sorts of different things.
when this happens when I am listening to Jon, I am not concentrating on him at all and drift in and out of listening to him as I fall asleep.
Is this still ok? or should I try really hard to concentrate on what he is saying?

Minty
just let it go and let it happen - the part of the brain Jon is talking to will get the full treatment - you do not have to think about it at all

Re: I fall asleep during the CD, will I still be getting the benefits?
Hi, great to hear everyone else's experiences, my husband and I have been on GM for nearly two weeks twice I have slept all night, once I couldn't get to sleep for hours after it listened to it four times before I went to sleep, now I go to sleep straight away and wake up at 2.20am every night wide awake, this is a pain. My husband sleeps like a log since he has started it and if he gets up for the loo hops straight back into bed and off to sleep again.
I am following all the supplements and live foods feel good just wish I could sleep better.
