Ingredients
- 6-8 fresh apples
- Half cup water
- 2 tbsp xylitol
Topping
- Organic butter
- 3 tbsp rice syrup, honey or maple syrup
- Half cup LSA mix
- Quarter cup sunflower seeds and almonds
- Quarter cup dessicated coconut
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 180oC
- Peel and chop fresh apples
- Place in a pan with the water and xylitol and stew until tender, but not mushy
- Place the apple filling into a pie dish or large casserole dish
- Melt together the butter and the sweetener
- Combine dry topping ingredients into a bowl
- Mix in the melted butter
- Cover the apples with the topping
- Bake for 15-25 minutes, until the crust is crispy
